What is Sacred Steps?
Sacred Steps is a daily journal for 2027 that follows the full year, season by season, moon phase by moon phase — giving you a container for your days that is both structured and completely your own.
It came from 153 days of walking. In 2023, I walked 6,371 kilometres across Australia — through 24 Aboriginal Nations, 32 towns, and more open country than I can sometimes believe. What kept me grounded was paying attention. To the land. To the season. To the small, real details of each day.
Sacred Steps is what I made when I got home. It's the journal I needed on that walk. And it's the journal I use every day now.

About the Creator
I'm Lizz Hills. I'm a psychotherapist, environmental educator, and long-distance trekker based in the Scenic Rim, Queensland.
I have an acquired brain injury from a serious accident in 2004. Nature has been central to my recovery and my practice ever since. My work through Trek2Reconnect uses walking and wild places as medicine its for individuals, for communities, and for the relationship between people and the land they live on.
Sacred Steps came from that practice. From the conviction that attention is one of the most radical things we can offer — to ourselves, to each other, to the living world.

A: Pre-orders placed before 15 October will be dispatched from the Scenic Rim before 17 October. Allow a few days for delivery within Australia.
